China Trip 2012 Itinerary Available Now
For those interested in coming along to the China Tour this year, the itinerary is out now!
Guangzhou Origins of Choy Lay Fut Kung Fu Tour. Running from the 11th – 14th of November.
This very unique tour will include a trip to Chan Hueng’s village were Choy Lay Fut began in 1836. Then off to Tarm Sarm’s memorial site and the original Choy Lay Fut Buk Sing school. The next destination is Foshan, were we will be visiting the Hong Sing Gwoon and Yip Mans school, as well as visiting weaponry shops and lion dancing shops. It is here you will have the chance to buy your own weapons and bring them back to Australia.
Hong Kong 15th – 18th November.
The last segment of the journey encompasses a workshop with Sifu Vince Lacey (one of the 5 black panthers of Choy Lay Fut) and Wong Gwai Cheun (one of last remaining students of Kong On (father of Kong Hing). The workshop will run for 2.5 hours and will reveal an inside view to their favourite fighting techniques as well as what it was like to train under world famous Choy Lay Fut masters. The next event in Hong Kong will be the See Gong Darn, which is a gathering of all the masters of Choy Lay Fut to celebrate Grandmaster Kong On. It is here where our students will get the opportunity to demonstrate their own Kung Fu. The trip will end on a high as 8 of our students compete in the Choy Lay Fut World Tournament in central Hong Kong. This is not to miss trip!

In-House Fight Night
There will be an Inhouse Fight Night happening at the Balcatta Kung Fu School on the 4th of May starting at 7pm.
This is manly for advanced students to get out there and show case their skill.
There will also be some great entertainment throughout the night including a traditional lion dance using our green fighting lion and a kung fu weaponry display. This event is open to the public, so feel free to bring family and friends.
Entry costs $10 for standing, $15 for seat and $25 for VIP table. Table seat includes hot dog, drink and gourmet snacks. Sausage sizzle and drinks available on the evening.
Program with the fight card will be out soon! This evening is a fundraising event to help fly Grandmaster Vince Lacey and his Wife to Hong Kong to take part in the China Tour 2012. Hope to see you all there!
