Fight Night

There will be a fight night coming up on 7 August and three members of our school will be involved.  They are Wei, Blake and Regan. We are in the process of finding out who they will be matched with and as soon as we get more information, we will post it around the school. The fight will be held at the Cragie Leisure Centre.

Marco

Congratulations to Marco for his win on 19th June against Dusan who has had 36 fights in the ring and 30 wins. Keep up the fantastic effort and the indomitable spirit, Marco! Well done.

Si Sook Paul Nickich

Paul Nickich passed away on 16 June. Paul was a younger brother to the school with over 28 years of experience in Choy Lay Fut Buk Sing. Paul will be sadly missed, especially on Fight Nights where he has always been in the corner giving us his support. Thanks to all who showed their support and donated to Paul’s family

Fight Night

Marco will be fighting on the 19 June at the Craigie Leisure Centre at Whitfords Avenue. He will be fighting against Dusan who was the former National Champion and has had over 36 fights in the ring. This will be a good fight for Marco, so I hope you can come down and support him. He will be doing 5 x 3 minute rounds with a 1 minute break. Tickets are $50 for a seat See Marco at Balcatta or front counter at O’Connor. Check posters for more information.

Cantonese Jackets

New shipment of Cantonese Jackets will be out by 8 June. We have blue with black trim and Tai Chi jackets in white with black trim. We have all sizes so you need to get in quick. First in First served unless you have put your name down for one together with the correct sizing. Please see front counter staff if you want one.

Mini Workshop

Master Zhao Shihua will be conducting a 4 hour workshop where you can now learn pain-relieving massage techniques for the head, neck and shoulders, for yourself and your family, which shows you important pressure points, or acupuncture cavities to bring you quick drug free pain and stress relief. The workshop also deals with headaches and migraines.

The exercises are simple to learn and enjoyable to practice and can be practiced anywhere both sitting and standing. And you don’t need to have learned Chi Kung previously in order to do it. Investment for this workshop is $120.

The workshop will be held at the Balcatta School on the 5th of August from 6:00pm to 10:00pm. Kung Fu classes will not be running on this evening. Please ring 9240 4240 to register or register at the front counter.

Club Members

For students who are in certain clubs at the school, they will need to develop stronger foundations such Lion Dance Troupe, Demo Team, Tournament Team and Assistant Instructor there will be a 15 minutes horse stance every time you come to the school.

Cantonese Jackets
All new Cantonese jackets ordered will now have an embroidered dragon on the back. It will be a 5 colour print with Chinese Kung Fu & Tai Chi Academy similar to jumpers. The new price will be $105. For all those who have already placed orders and paid the price will remain the same.

Kung Fu Pants
We have a new stock of Kung Fu pants available. The pants are imported from the USA and are very high quality poly cotton. They wash and wear much better than the cotton pants and will last longer. The new price for the poly cotton Kung Fu pants are $55.
